Municipal Partnership

General information about the Municipal Partnership programme
The reduction of poverty is a crucial objective for Swedish development cooperation. As a result, Swedish municipalities, county councils and regions have an important role to play in contributing know-how and experience to develop welfare and prosperity. Municipal Partnership is a form of cooperation financed by Sida that is designed to contribute to municipal and regional operations in high-priority partnership countries in the form of result-oriented projects. There must also be a mutual interest in partnership in which Swedish municipalities, county councils and regions clearly benefit from the projects implemented.
